Things you need to know...History is written by the victors. We will look at multiple points of view, but we won't always be able to address them all in detail. We may also miss some groups, due to time constraints. Ask me for more resources any time you wish to "dig deeper" outside of class, and I will help you find them.
History WILL repeat itself... If we don't learn from the mistakes of our past, we will repeat them. Watch! You'll see what I mean. |
About Your TeacherI have taught for 19 years. I am certified in history, English, and ESOL, GT, elementary and secondary education. Additionally, I have been through Pre-AP/AP training. I have a bachelors degree in history and English; I was a double major. My master's degree is in counseling and psychology. I also have an administrator's license. I am married and have two sons. It is my goal for you to understand why we need to study history and for you to leave my class with an appreciation for history.
